Thank you to everyone who attended Pier del Sol: Stars 'n Stripes on the Pier on October 14 at the Santa Monica Pier.
Because of your support, the event was a success and we raised much needed funding for people with intellectual disabilities. We hope you enjoyed the food, games, and festivities.
Event Details
Pier del Sol is a family fun extravaganza where guests enjoyed an amazing outdoor brunch prepared by more than 35 of LA's top restaurants, unlimited rides and games at Pacific Park, and live entertainment. The event also featured chili and apple pie contests, karaoke, arts and crafts, a Prize Drawing Extravaganza (find out who won), a tide pool, and much more.
At the 2012 event, we honored Barry and Nancy Sanders, who have been long-time supporters of Special Olympics Southern California.
Honorary Co-chairs are Maria Shriver and Bobby Shriver.
Benefiting Special Olympics Athletes
Pier del Sol is Special Olympics Southern California's largest fundraiser, with more than 2,000 people attending the event.
All proceeds benefit the thousands of athletes of Special Olympics. Every dollar raised helps provide free sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics is more than a sports program. It is training for life. Special Olympics athletes are five times more likely to hold a job than the general population of people with intellectual disabilities. They are also more physically fit and live happier, healthier, and longer lives.
If you would like to support Special Olympics athletes, please make a tax-deductible donation.
