Ways to Help Special Olympics Ventura County

Special Olympics Ventura County depends on the generosity of the local community to help support our mission--to bring sports training and competition to persons with intellectual disabilities. There are many ways that you can help ensure that our more than 700 Ventura County athletes receive the quality sports training and competition that they deserve -- all at no cost to them or their families.

Sponsor an Athlete

A recent Yale University study found that Special Olympics athletes benefit from:

Improved physical fitness and sports skills
   Enhanced self-confidence and social competency
   Greater readiness for employment
   Better preparation for independent living
Increased ability to make personal decisions, and
   Improved friendships and family relationships.

Special Olympics participation is provided free of charge. These programs come at a cost, however. Please help us continue to provide quality sports training and competition opportunities by sponsoring an athlete for a sports season - or better yet, for the entire year!

Click here to download and print our Sponsor an Athlete form, and then mail it to our Ventura County office (address is on the form).

Corporate Support

Ventura County welcomes the involvement of corporations and small businesses in its fundraising events and the underwriting of specific opportunities. Click here to view our Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities, all of which come with specific acknowledgement and recognition opportunities.
