Special Olympics Santa Barbara provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Athletes can participate in Special Olympics at no cost to them or their families because of thousands of volunteers, and because of generous contributions from friends and supporters of Special Olympics.

Athletes...who have gained respect and acceptance because Special Olympics has enable them to show what they can do.

Coaches...who attend training sessions so they can be certified to train Special Olympics athletics.

Families...who through Special Olympics, recognize the gifts and abilities of their loved ones with intellectual disabilities.
