ATHLETES

Application for Participation in Special Olympics - Please indicate on the form which Local Program you would like to participate in and have the form signed by your doctor.

Athlete Official Release Form - Must accompany the Application for Participation in Special Olympics.

Medical Release for Athletes with Down Syndrome - Must be completed if an athlete with Down Syndrome competes in restricted sports.

TRAINING

Protective Behaviors Training - Required training for all staff members and Class A volunteers to protect Special Olympics athletes from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Class A volunteers are those who have regular, close, physical contact with athletes; are in a position of authority, supervision or trust with athletes; or handle substantial amounts of cash or other assets for Special Olympics.
